Driveway and Parking Lot Installations

Asphalt driveways are typically the least expensive paved surface of choice for home builders and/or homeowners. An asphalt driveway can last for thirty or more years with good care and sealcoating. The secret lies in a good foundation of solid soil, topped with four inches of crushed gravel base beneath the asphalt.
Driveway and Parking Lot ASPHALT REPAIR
Taking care of asphalt repairs as soon as possible is critical, addressing repairs in a timely fashion will help reduce overall damage to your driveway or parking lot. Dean’s Asphalt Paving has been repairing asphalt surfaces in the Richmond area for over 20 years. In that time, we have mastered various paving, repair, and maintenance techniques including but not limited to asphalt patching, pothole repairs, and crack filling.
Driveway and Parking Lot Sealcoating
To properly maintain and get the longest lifespan out of your asphalt surface, you will need to have a sealcoat applied as a part of your maintenance schedule, just like any other type of structure if you do proper maintenance you can more then double the life expectancy of the surface. The good news too is that you will actually spend less money on the maintenance over time than it will cost for a very expensive asphalt repair or resurface.
Stone, Dirt, or New Driveway or Parking Lot
Aggregate base of stone – 4 inches of rock (crush & run stone), then two inches of a finer topping mix
Existing Driveway or Parking Lot
Remove areas where the level of existing driveway does not allow proper application for two inches of asphalt, apply liquid tar tack coat to existing surface and then apply two inches of surface hot mix asphalt and compact.
Replace Existing Driveway or Parking Lot
If existing driveway is UN-reparable we will remove driveway, re-grade underlying base, add crush and run stone as needed for proper base, compact base and repave with three inches of surface hot mix asphalt and then compact.
Surface Patch Driveway or Parking Lot
If existing driveway has pot holes, cracks, etc. and is repairable, we remove loose broken asphalt, make sure there is a proper base underneath, apply liquid tar tack coat to surface to be patched and patch with hot mix asphalt feathering patch to existing surface.
Saw Cut Patch Driveway or Parking Lot
Saw cut and remove area that need to be patched, repair and make sure there is a proper base underneath and lay three inches of hot mix asphalt and compact to match levels of surrounding areas. (walkway, garage, etc..)
Sealcoat Driveway or Parking Lot
Edge driveway remove dirt and debris by blowing clean, fill cracks with a crack filler and pply asphalt sealer to existing surface.
